Another visit to Leaf Cuisine

Filed under: Leaf Raw Cuisine — FoodEater @ 5:55 pm

Carrot - miso - ginger soup. I was expecting hot soup (it’s freezing outside!), but alas, this was chilled. I suppose that’s a big duh on my part, considering that Leaf is a raw foods restaurant… I guess not heating the soup comes with the territory. It was just ok, a bit on the bitter side and much thicker than what I would normally consider to be soup. More of a side dish than soup I’d say…

These are the side that came with the sandwich I ordered. The top one is a “rawslaw” with cabbages and carrots and coconut. Fantastic. The bottom one is a sort of curried potato and vegetables thingy. I don’t know what all was in it but it was very tasty.

Wow, this was great. The “Unturkey” sandwich had a creamy pesto sauce, tomato, lettuce, and whatever the faux turkey was made out of (it doesn’t really taste anything like turkey, but it’s yummy just the same). The star of this though is really the fantastic mango bread that it came served on.
