Vegan Nachos & Reuben sandwich at Real Food Daily
Posted by FoodEater in Real Food DailyThis was my first visit to Real Food Daily, an organic, vegan restaurant in West Hollywood. Everything we had was amazing.

Nachos with jalapeno/cashew “cheese”.

Pictured here is the “Total Rueben”, with tempeh, herbed tofu cheese spread, thousand island dressing and sauerkraut. Loved it. The bread wasn’t really burned, it just looks that way in the photo for some reason. It was served with Asian style cole-slaw (something in this had a bitter flavor that I didn’t like so much).

I am so jealous about the choice of vegan restaurants. That’s really great. In our town of 160.000 inhabitants there is not even a vegetarian restaurant. Thank you for linking to us.
Harald- Yes, I realize we are very lucky here in Southern California. It seems like there’s a new veg or vegan place opening up every other day! There used to be only a few places just a few years ago, now there’s at least a vegan Thai place springing up in nearly every neighborhood. And you’re very welcome for the link, your site is an inspiration and always makes me hungry!!!
OMG! FOODEATER! i didn’t realize you’d had the nachos before! epic fail, we should have ordered something you’d never tried! :( oh well, i hope eating them again revealed a deeper meaning.
so which is the best reuben of all time that i need to try? was it RFD or FYH…i can’t remember.
i think we need to go back and re-assess that appetizer sometime. those nachos need some more evaluation.
