M: I haven't had the orange chicken for a while so I don't know if they changed it or not. The sauce at the time was definitely very sweet, but didn't remind me of honey. Bummer he felt sick! This stuff is fried so that can tend to upset some tummies.

I love all the soups I've tried there, but then again, I love cilantro :)

I just took my mom to eat at Lotus Vegan and the food and service was great! She is a meat eater and she loved the vegan "pepper steak meat" used in the pad thai and the orange "chicken" and in the Tom Kah Kai coconut soup. Tasted like high quality Thai food without the grease and guilt of consuming tortured animal products. We loved it! She sees how easy it is to eat vegan. They have a bunch of other stuff on the menu besides Thai like wraps, burgers, breakfast burritos, pancakes, etc. all vegan.

My boyfriend and I went here recently. He ordered the Orange Chicken and it didn't really look like what you have pictured up there. I don't know if they have changed it or were doing some experimentation on the day we went, but his was little round balls of fake chicken (they were pretty uniform), slathered in a super thick, sweet sauce that reminded me of honey (but I don't think it was since it's a vegan restaurant). Ew. He felt kinda sick afterward.

I got the soup with glass noodles. It was good considering I was in the mood for a light soup, but tainted by evil cilantro. Even though I quickly picked the cilantro out of the soup, some of the veggies and the broth had a cilantro-y aftertaste.

With that said, it is close to me so maybe we'll go back again. I am carless though and biking on that side of Vineland when attempting to get home can be super difficult, so I try to avoid it.

I love Thai Vegan food. My favorite restaurant two restaurants are: California Vegan & Green Leaves. I have been wanting to try Lotus Vegan for sometime now. The menu has so many varieties to choose from.
