During my two month stay in LA recently I had occasion to dine at least three times at a newly opened restaurant in Little Tokyo called Shojin. I found the cosy atmosphere very charming with white tablecloths, nice decor and soft music. Ken, the friendly waiter, has a great attitue and gives excellent service even though his English is limited but improving. The food is vegan, organic and natural, very tasty and healthy. Morishima, the owner and chef, is always adding new items to the menu and even will come out to thank you and give you a small gift if he has time. I recomment a visit to this restaurant would be most enjoyable to anyone.

We wanted to go there today, but there's no answer. I guess they're closed for Easter Sunday.

Another time.....

Vegan Tickles: How exciting... sounds like you guys ordered a nice assortment! I too loved the orange kale salad. I'm looking forward to trying all the stuff I didn't get a chance to taste yet, especially the bento box. I am so happy to hear the place was nice and busy... thanks for reporting back to us!

My husband, his auntie and I had an awesome lunch today at Shojin.
We ordered the CHA-SOBA, BENTO BOX, GARDEN CHICKEN AND VEGETABLES, CASHEW CHEESE WRAP, and the ORANGE KALE SALADS.
For dessert, I ordered the parfait.
We loved everything, except the parfait.
It was so unimpressive.
Granola, berry tofu, strawberry soy ice cream, topped with 1 blueberry and 1 strawberry.
The indoor dining room was packed.
I'm glad they are doing well.
I LOVED the ORANGE KALE SALAD and the OKARA (had it last time).
Next time we go, I'm ordering those 2 things.
