I've seen a preview of "That’s Why We Don’t Eat Animals: A Book About Vegans, Vegetarians, and All Living Things" by Ruby Roth and have to tell you -- it is STUNNING. Her style is beautiful and the text is educational. It's a must have for everyone you know who has vegetarian and vegan kids. Already my go-to gift for all my vegan/vegetarian friends.

The website for the book - http://www.wedonteatanimals.com - has a nice quote by Jane Goodall: "This is a powerful and important book. Farm animals have emotions similar to our pets and this is conveyed in Roth’s enchanting illustrations. It will make children - and their parents – think. But it will not lead to nightmares, rather respect and compassion for the creatures whose wellbeing is in our hands."

Thank you for the shout-out and the compliments! Yeah, I'm a big nerd and I love baking, especially pizza, so this is my way to contribute... Meat-eaters and vegans alike love my pizza, so I'm glad if I can spread the knowledge.

Man, it's posts like this that make me almost wish I lived in LA and not OC. Mmm, the Vegan Scoop sounds good. Speaking of which, I miss the four daily vegan flavors at Scoops. THey're always good. Mmm. Scoops. Then donuts. Mmm. donuts.

. . . then I think of the traffic and pat myself on the back for staying in Irvine where I am safe from $300 jaywalking tickets (like the one I got this summer in Santa Monica, grr)
