Oh me oh my..I stumbled upon your blog looking up a vegan caramel recipe...and woo hoo! I love that lady. I used to go into the Chocolate Cafe allllll of the time. She started labeling things vegan after a while because we were always interested in trying something new. It was in Laguna Niguel, and I'm not sure if they are still there.
I did not know that they had something caramellllly?! Hmm...I have had those piano's and the raspberry filled one and the strawberry one...I know them as different names. Tracey is awesome...and they have them at Schmitt's chocolates in San Clemente too!

So, this review is simply awesome! "I felt like a queen eating rare and precious jewels" = you are hilarious! And you have definitely made me want to try these chocolates. I've never tried chocolate and chili together before either, but if it's as good as you say...WOW. "And boy howdy let me tell you it was worth saving myself for" = you are too funny, again!

OMG I LOVE THOSE THINGS! I think we are candy soulmates. I love nobody I mean nothing more than a caramel twix. If someone can veganize that candy bar effectively, I will make sweet love to them while stuffing hundred dollar bills in their pockets. I want one SOSOSOSOSOSO BAD. Also, I too am not a big dark chocolate fan and so it makes it hard to really get excited about chocolate the way I should be. I am not a true woman!

Anyway, for people in SF they sell these chocolates at Chocolate Covered on 24th st in Noe Valley (along with a HUGE variety of other vegan chocolates!) and they often have them at Rainbow (though I didn't see them last time I was there).
